Welcome to the Indigenous Justice Advocacy Network.
We are a voluntary organisation set up for the purposes of providing
consultation, lobbying and legal advocacy services on behalf of
Indigenous Traditional Owners to protect cultural heritage, sovereign,
constitutional and common law rights.
Current Projects - 2004
- Opposing the continued destruction of sacred sites at the proposed
Lake Cowal Gold Project on behalf of the Mooka
and Kalara Traditional Owners within the Wiradjuri nation.
- Representing Wadi Wadi / Koomaditchie Elder
Allen Carriage and the Sandon Point Aboriginal Tent Embassy to
save significant Aboriginal heritage at the sacred Kuradji burial
and toolmaking site on the North Illawarra coastline.
- Assisting the Western Bundjalung Traditional Owners while following
up on the successful litigation to close down mining
on the Timbarra Plateau, North East NSW.
